RERELEASED APPLICATION CALL FOR POST GRADUATE PROGRAMS
2025/2026 ACADEMIC YEAR
Important Note
- All students will join the college after satisfactorily passing National Graduate Admission Test (NGAT)that will be administered by MoE (follow the announcement from MoE)
- The hosting department will give written and oral exam. Follow the date on the college social media pages.
SCHOOL OF MEDICINE
- Master of Science in respiratory therapy
Application requirement
- BSC from an accredited institution in Nursing, Health officer, or Anesthesia.
- Undergraduate GPA of minimum 2.75
- Has been serving in a clinical environment for the last minimum of two years or has been working as an academician on the fields listed above.
- Present letter of sponsorship or evidence for self-sponsorship
- Two letters of recommendation from the clinical employer, undergraduate instructor or professional association
- Copy of Degree and transcript
- Scored pass mark (at least 70%) in the total admission evaluation
NB: Those who have experience in hospital ICUs, emergency units, anesthesia/OR, pulmonary and bronchoscopy units will have privilege; only documented official evidences are acceptable.
- Master of Science in Medical Microbiology
Application requirement
- First degree in Medicine, Medical laboratory technology, Medical laboratory sciences, Biology, Veterinary medicine, Microbiology, Biomedical sciences
- Sponsorship from government hosting institute or self-sponsor applicants should enter a commitment to pay cost of the training.
- Self-sponsors students will pay 1,400 birr per credit hour and should cover research-associated expenses.
- Copy of Degree and transcript
- Two Recommendation letters
Remarks: Master of Science in Medical Microbiology is a 2year regular program; first year course work, second year seminar and research work.
- Masters of Science in Medical Radiologic Technology
- BSC in MRT plus appropriate clinical experience in diagnostic imaging
- Candidates will not, under normal circumstances, be accepted with less than two years of general post-qualification experience.
- Two recommendation letters from immediate supervisor
- Copy of Degree and transcript
- Pathway specific application should be submitted at the time of application. The pathways are:
- CT & MRI Pathway
- Ultrasonography Pathway
- Radiography, Fluoroscopy & Mamography Pathway
- Cath Lab Pathway
- Masters of Science in Clinical embryology
Admission Requirements
- Medical Doctors, BSc in Biology, BSc in Laboratory technology and Other health professionals with at least 6 months of experience or formal training on clinical embryology.
- Have cumulative grade point average (CGPA) > 2.75
- Candidates who has experience in clinical embryology and teaching experience in higher education institutions shall be favored
- Provide medical certificate showing physical fitness (specific to the field) check for binocular vision; and mental fitness after evaluation by psychiatrist
- Two recommendation letters
- Age less than 45 years
- Sponsorship from government hosting institute or self-sponsor applicants should enter a commitment to pay cost of the training.
- Self-sponsors students will pay 1,400 birr per credit hour and should cover research-associated expenses.

Requirement for all programs
- A minimum CGPA of 2.00 from a first degree or 3.00 from a second degree.
- Two letters of recommendation from relevant employers and/or academic supervisors.
- Sponsorship letter from employer/sponsor for sponsored students or declaration statement for self-sponsored applicants.
- For female scholarship CGPA of 2.75 and above (for regular only)

MPH in Nutrition
- BSC from an accredited institution in health officer, nurse, midwifery, medical doctor, Dental Medicine, Medical Radiologic Technology, environmental health, health education, pharmacist, anesthesia, medical laboratory technology, health informatics, human nutrition, psychiatry, physiotherapy, bio-technology, and ophthalmology
MPH in Epidemiology
- BSC from an accredited institution in Public Health (Health Officer), Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Doctor, Health Education, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Environmental Health, Health Informatics, Human Nutrition, Veterinary Medicine, Medical laboratory technology, Optometry, Psychiatry, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, and Demography
MPH in Health Communication and Promotion
- BSc in Health/Medical/Behavioral Sciences, Health Education, Public Health (Health Officer), Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Doctor, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Environmental Health, Health Informatics, Human Nutrition, Veterinary Medicine, Medical laboratory technology, Optometry, Psychiatry, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Media and Communication, Journalism and communication, Public Relation and Advertising.
Remark:
- For weekend program applicants, two years’ work experience should be submitted.
- Female scholarship is for only regular program

Requirement for all programs
- A candidate should have a CGPA of above 2.75 for male and above 2.5 for female
- Two letters of recommendation from relevant employers and/or academic supervisors.
- Sponsorship letter from employer/sponsor for sponsored students or declaration statement for self-sponsored applicants.
- Satisfactory pass Written and Oral exam given by the hosting departments
Specific requirements for each program
- MSC in Critical Care Nursing:
- Hold a Bachelors’ degree in comprehensive Nursing, Specialty (post basic nursing) or related fields with nursing background from an accredited higher education institutions
- Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience with BSC degree in clinical or academic activities
- MSC in Cardiovascular Nursing:
- Hold first degree in any nursing fields, and have an experience in clinical Working areas including (Adult ICU, OR, Cardiac center) or Academic for at least one yearwith written evidence
- MSC in Neonatal Nursing:
- Hold first degree in neonatal nursing, midwifery, pediatric nursing or comprehensive nursing, for at least one year of experience in NICUwith written evidence
- MSC in Clinical Oncology Nursing:
- Hold BSC in nursing (comprehensive BSC nursing, post basic oncology nursing, post basic emergency and critical care nursing, pediatrics and or child health nursing, other nursing specialties with at least one-year work experience in hospice centers, cancer palliative care areas and other governmental or non-governmental health institutions providing oncology care services)
- Have at least one year of work experience in clinical setting or higher education institutions.
- MSC in Paramedics Science:
- Should have BSc degree in Nursing /Midwifery/Anaesthesia/Health officer/ or related health fields from a higher education institutions.
- Have a minimum of one-year experience with BSC degree in clinical or academic activities with written evidence.
- Experience in emergency and ICU setup will have an advantage.
- MSC in Cardiothoracic Nursing:
- BSC in Nursing and at least six months experience in Operating theatre/academic with written evidence.
- Master of Science in Pediatric Emergency and Critical Care Nursing
- BSc degree in comprehensive Nursing, pediatric and child health nursing, neonatal health nursing, emergency and critical care nursing, and other related professionals who have nursing background from recognized university/college

- Select Academic Year of Application of “2025/26” from drop-down selection
- Upload Transcript, original degree and other document (merge all other documents as a single file and upload under other document button)and click submit
