Background of School of Public Health
The School of Public Health (SPH) is one of the schools under Saint Paul’s Hospital Millennium
Medical College (SPHMMC). SPH is one of the nation’s schools of public health, with a good
track record of outstanding research, teaching, and community service excellence and impact in a
short period of time.
Currently, the school runs five master of public health training programs and one PhD program;
these include a Master of Public Health in Field Epidemiology, general, Nutrition,
Epidemiology, and health communication and promotion training program and a Ph.D. program
in public health. Over 300 students per different discipline have graduated from the school, and
more than 350 students are currently enrolled.
For our former students: Your thoughts and suggestions are really helpful. Any comments
regarding the general or specific activities are much appreciated by the teaching staff. Our
alumni’s continued involvement enriches the college in general and our school performance in
particular.

For those who are new: In the 21st century, when the world faces a longer-term problem in the
public health workforce that is truly effective, there is no greater opportunity, responsibility, or
