Main and Branch Libraries

An academic library by nature is an integral part of a university/College, which exists to meet the information needs of students, faculty, researchers and other users in the community. It is an important intellectual resource of an academic community, as it helps the university/college to fulfill the curriculum requirements and promote studies and research.

These libraries have transformed in the 21st century to focus less on physical collection development and more on information access and digital resources.

Accordingly, SPHMMC library typically provide access to subscription-based online resources, including research databases and eBook collections, in addition to physical books and journals. The library also offer space for students to work and study, in groups or individually on "silent floors," and reference and research help services. The library also focusing on information literacy instruction, by employing a person dedicated primarily to instruction and through orientation programs.

St. Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical College Library has one branch library at Abet Hospital.
