Introduction

The Obstetrics and Gynecology department of the SPHMMC is one of the pioneers to launch residency program in the college. It was established in 2012-13G.c admitting the first 7 residents. The residency program is a 4yrs training given in rotations at Saint Paul’s, Ras Desta, Yekatit 12 and Menilik Hospitals; Kolfe health center and Hamlin Fistula Hospital. There is also a one month rural (community) attachment for 3rd year students at Worabe (SNNP region). Residents also have the privilege to acquire international experience through yearly travels abroad (notably Germany, US and Rwanda).
