- He served as a chairperson of department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College from 2007- March,2013.He actively involved in strengthening undergraduate medical educational program which was started in November 2007 at St Paul’s Millennium Medical College. He has active role and contributed his time and energy in initiating residency program in obstetrics and gynecology in his college in July 2012 together with his colleagues and administrators in collaboration with The University of Michigan and Ethiopian Federal Ministry of Health. His active role has not been limited to these programs but extended to introducing and initiating new program in Ethiopia:- Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Genetics which has been started in January 2014 in the college in collaboration with The University of Michigan.
