The family planning fellowship program is a two year sub specialty training program for those who have completed a four year OBGYN training from a known and registered University.

To develop world class leaders in clinical care, science, education and advocacy to ensure universal access to comprehensive abortion care and modern contraception they need.

Contents of the fellowship program

The Fellowship in Family Planning is a two-year fellowship focused on wide area of spectrum that include:

  • Subspecialist training in research, teaching and clinical practice in comprehensive abortion and contraception.
  • Working with respected and innovative leaders in the field, fellows learn about clinical and epidemiologic research, develop clinical and teaching skills, and experience reproductive health issues internationally.
  • Establish a connection to a rapidly expanding network of family planning experts.
  • There will be a one year attachment to the WHO head quarter at Geneva where the fellow will acquire a tremendous skill on research and policy development skill.

We received the first batch fellowship as of October 15 2017. We have three fellows, one of the fellows is doing a clinical work at SPHMMC and the other fellow is assigned at WHO head quarter Geneva for experience sharing on research and guideline development.
